Nerdalarm! Intersection of Robotics, Projection-Mapping and Software

26. September 2013 - 15:33 Uhr

The San Francisco-based design and engineering studio Bot and Dolly produced this amazing clip „Box“! It demonstrates a mixture of robotically controlled monitors, projection-mapping and choreographed human interaction.

Box explores the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping onto moving surfaces. The short film documents a live performance – captured entirely in camera(!)

Very nice immersive projection mapping. The co-driver has do define the road with a tablet while driving. Former Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli has to follow this track in realtime. Watch the video on YouTube.

Jules Verne’s „Around the world in 80 days“ gets a new definition. Rafael de Mestre is competing a french team driving a Citron Z-Cero with his Tesla Roadster in 2012. He is starting one month later, does have an accident and wins anyway. He is already planning the next „race“ and wants 9 nations to participate.
